Young runners and coaches from the Uczniowski Klub Sportowy "Tukan" in Iwiny took part in a series of six races for the Lubin Grand Prix. The first race was held on 10 January and the last on 7 March. In the open category, second place went to Wojtek Pachnik. In the women's open category, the first two places for "Tukan" were won by Angelika Haniszewska and Dominika Kanikowska. Marek Wojnowicz triumphed in the M-20 category, Mariusz Wojnowicz took second place in M-16, and Bartek Szeliga came third. The coaches also put in a good performance. Waldemar Socha triumphed twice. He came first in the M-40 category and first among football referees. First place in the M-50 category was also won by Dariusz Pachnik, the "Tukan" coach. The standard of the competition was high. Participants in the Lubin races included, among others: Dawid Bilewicz — an athlete from "Sokół" Lubin, who came fourth in last year's Polish Youth Olympics, and the Junior Provincial Cross-Country Team.
