– On Sunday, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wałbrzych received a report of a completely drunk, aggressive man forcing his way into the rectory on Sienkiewicza Street in Dziećmorowice – reports junior warrant officer Aleksandra Pieprzycka of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

It turned out that shortly beforehand, the perpetrator had been disturbing the peace at the rectory, and when the priest approached the window, the aggressor began insulting him. He then forced open the entrance door, ran upstairs and attacked the clergyman. The vandal punched the victim in the head and threatened to kill him. Then he fled.

Fortunately, the priest was not seriously injured, but the enraged man destroyed his glasses. The total property damage was estimated at PLN 1,800.

After establishing the full circumstances of the incident, officers from the Intelligence Unit of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wałbrzych began searching for the perpetrator of these crimes.

The 35-year-old aggressor was apprehended by officers shortly afterward. He was still aggressive at the time of his arrest. The court remanded the attacker in custody for two months.

The man who attacked the priest and damaged property at the rectory now faces up to five years in prison.
