Traditionally, the artists lived and worked at Kliczków Castle, enjoying the green landscapes of the Lower Silesian Forests and also exploring the picturesque surroundings of the town of Bolesławiec. This year, for the first time, a participating artist was someone active in Bolesławiec, associated with this beautiful town as well as with the dynamically operating BOK – MCC.

The art plein air brought together 10 artists, 10 approaches representing different generations, but also 10 days of residence and 10 evenings during which long conversations about art and life could take place. Working in a studio, as one might guess, involves observing oneself on the plane of one’s personal horizon. Meeting 10 artists in a space outside the comfort zone of their own studios offers—though it need not—the opportunity for a broader perspective, an exchange of thoughts, images and experiences, and group synergy and a sense of community.

The exhibition can be viewed from 19 November to 3 December 2021 at the Bolesławiec Culture Centre – International Ceramics Centre. The exhibition opening will also take place next Friday at 6:00 p.m..
