BKS’s senior team extended its winning streak and won its 10th consecutive league match. On Saturday, October 16, at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec, BKS, the league leaders, defeated second-placed Włókniarz Leśnia 2:1 (2:0).

Our team deservedly won, although there were some moments of danger. From the beginning of the match, our players attacked their opponents and imposed their style of play. In the 23rd minute, Jacek Bochnia fired a powerful shot at the opponents’ goal. The opposing goalkeeper managed to save it, but the ball fell to Adrian Kulesza, who put BKS ahead 1:0 with a precise shot. A moment later, we celebrated again. In the 29th minute, Adrian Biały rose highest to meet Maciej Szewczyk’s cross and increased the lead with a header. It is worth noting that the visitors failed to convert a penalty in this half. Despite several more chances, the score remained unchanged until halftime.

The second half was not particularly impressive from our perspective. The determined visitors tried to reduce the deficit, but our well-organized defense extinguished every threat at its source. The visitors scored a consolation goal from a penalty in stoppage time, and ultimately we defeated Włókniarz 2:1 in the top-of-the-table clash. Unfortunately, near the end of the second half, BKS striker Marek Majka was injured after a collision with an opponent and had to leave the field. Neither the assistant referee nor the main referee, however, saw a foul by the opponent in the incident.

Our team will play its next match away against Lotnik Jeżów Sudecki (October 24, 11:00).
