We wrote about the matter in the article Mayor Dutkowski denies wanting to phase out the school in Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka.

Lucyna Krzyśko called our editorial office after the publication of Mayor Andrzej Dutkowski’s statement. The former head of Krępnica village reacted strongly to the mayor’s words, in which he expressed his grievances against the teachers. Dutkowski suggested that the teachers had informed parents about the municipality’s plans for the school after a staff meeting whose proceedings are confidential.

– The information that reached us about the school came from the deputy mayor, Mr Jaworski – said Lucyna Krzyśko. – He was the one who told us about the mayor’s proposal to leave a kindergarten and grades one to three in Dąbrowa, and to transport children in grades four to eight to Kraśnik or Trzebień. We confirmed this information with the deputy mayor. No information was provided by the teachers. This information did not come from the teachers, and the mayor should not insult them – the village head added.

According to the information provided by Lucyna Krzyśko, it is the municipal officials who are saying too much and passing information on to residents, not the teachers.

– The mayor talks about consultations, but this proposal did not come from the mayor – says the village head. – The parents wanted to find out what was really going on, who was telling the truth and who was lying. Now a meeting with the parents is to be held, and the chairwoman proposed that all municipal councillors also attend so they can hear what the parents have to say. The mayor should not defend himself, because the teachers are completely blameless in this matter. I will not allow the teachers to be insulted, because the mayor failed. He should first have met with the parents; they should have been the first to know what would happen to the school – says Lucyna Krzyśko.
