It is worth recalling that over its many years, the competition has gained a strong reputation. Both private individuals and companies – managers of public-utility facilities – enter it. For many years, the competition arrangements have helped beautify the city and encouraged improvements to the aesthetics of the surroundings. The competition includes flower-filled windows, balconies and gardens submitted by residents, as well as places selected by the competition committee as worthy of notice and recognition.

This year’s edition was attended by 26 participants. The competition committee met in the following composition:

  • Zygmunt Brusiło – president of the Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Society,
  • Adam Biesiadecki – councillor of the Bolesławiec City Council, deputy chair of the Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Committee,
  • Joanna Sawicka – Municipal Public Library, head of the Municipal Centre for Environmental Education,
  • Małgorzata Rychert – inspector at the Public Procurement and Municipal Investments Department of Bolesławiec City Hall.
