On Monday (22 February), a 32-year-old woman came to the Bolesławiec Police Headquarters to report that she had found a vest at the restaurant where she works. There was more than PLN 15,000 in the vest’s pocket. The incident took place in one of the towns near Bolesławiec. Someone had left the sleeveless jacket on a chair. According to the woman, the owner of the vest and the money could have been a man who had eaten a meal at the local establishment that day. The police secured the vest containing the money and began searching for its owner.

The following day (23 February), a 37-year-old man came to the police headquarters. The man reported losing a large sum of money. The Bolesławiec resident told the officers that he had lost PLN 15,100. The man was extremely surprised when the police handed him the lost vest and PLN 15,100. Beforehand, the officers had carefully verified both the person’s identity and the circumstances in which the money had been lost. The happy owner of the vest promised to reward the honest woman.
