The incident occurred on September 23, before noon, on national road no. 30, in Gryfów Śląski. “According to the police officers’ preliminary findings, the rider of a Suzuki motorcycle, a 19-year-old resident of Lwówek County, crashed into the rear of a Škoda that was in the process of turning left at the time,” reports Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries. The driver of the Škoda, a 27-year-old from Lwówek County, was sober; she suffered no more serious injuries.
Police:
We appeal to all drivers to exercise caution and obey the regulations. Every road user must bear their own safety and that of others in mind. Let us remember that even in the event of the slightest collision between a motorcycle and a car, the motorcyclist has the lowest chance of surviving or emerging from the accident without injuries.
