At the PSZOK facility on Staszica Street, more than 200 people arrived, bringing around 500 items of various sizes—from phones to televisions and washing machines. In total, 1.5 tonnes of electronic waste was collected.

In exchange for the waste they brought, this year participants could choose seedlings of cherry, sweet cherry, elm and oak trees, as well as dogwood, hazelnut and grapevine shrubs, among others. They will enrich the green areas of home gardens and recreational plots.

All the collected equipment will be handed over to a specialist company that recovers valuable raw materials from electronic waste.

The campaign was organized by the Municipal Centre for Environmental Education together with the Municipal Communal Economy Company and the Plan-E Bolesławiec group. The purchase of the seedlings was financed from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
