The first set was TOP’s weakest performance. The opponents were effective not only in setting up plays and attacking, but also in serving. Almost every Olimpia player served with a jump. This type of serve also allowed them to score points in the following sets. The first set ended 25:16 in favour of Sulęcin.
Until the halfway point of the second set, TOP successfully resisted the visitors’ attacks. However, a match cannot be won if a team is effective only in defence. Once again, the Bolesławiec players’ weak point was their lack of an effective attack. Bolesławiec lost the second set 19:25.
The third set was definitely TOP’s best. Both teams fought for the points, taking small leads in turn. The closing stages, however, belonged to the visiting team. TOP Bolesławiec lost the third set 20:25.
Although TOP were the hosts of today’s match, it was played in Lwówek Śląski. The match date coincided with a school prom being held in the sports hall at I LO.
