On 7 September, inspectors from the Road Transport Inspection in Wrocław conducted checks on the Lower Silesian section of the A4 motorway, from the Jarosław exit to the exit for Legnica. ITD:
The aim of the operation was to verify whether truck drivers were complying with the overtaking ban in force there.
Inspectors patrolled the motorway in unmarked police cars. The result? As many as 17 drivers were penalised for overtaking despite the ban.
But that was not all. The Inspection said: “During the checks, offences were also detected involving unsecured cargo, violations of regulations concerning driving time, mandatory breaks and rest periods, as well as violations related to the absence of the required transport documentation.”
It added:
Two registration certificates were retained, and three administrative proceedings were also initiated against transport operators.
