BKS Bolesławiec’s good run continues! In Saturday’s fourth-round regional league match, our team defeated Olimpia Kowary 2–0 (1–0) away from home and strengthened its position at the top of the table.

The match was not one of the easiest. Our team was weakened by the absence of several players, but fortunately this was not visible on the pitch. The match started in the best possible way for us: in the 6th minute, Maciej Szewczyk found Mateusz Medyński well inside the penalty area and passed the ball to him. Despite having defenders on his back, the popular Medo created space for himself and put the ball into the net, giving BKS a 1–0 lead. The frustrated hosts set about making up the deficit and occasionally took the initiative. Our team’s defensive block performed very well that day, and we kept a clean sheet.

After the change of ends, the pattern of play did not change. In the 68th minute, we could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Kamil Posadowski made a fine run down the right and crossed the ball into the opponents’ penalty area, where Marcin Kraśnicki produced a fine header to make it 2–0 for Sebastian Tylutki’s charges. We could have scored several more times, but lacked precision and a little luck. It is worth noting that in the 85th minute Marek Majka came onto the pitch after returning from a serious injury and is gradually getting back to being a “machine”. Maja even had a chance to score, but his shot was read by the Olimpia Kowary goalkeeper. Ultimately, we recorded our fourth victory of the season and strengthened our position at the top of the table.

Our team will play its next match at Spółdzielcza against Victoria Jelenia Góra (11 September, 4:00 p.m.).
