Prices per night are relatively high and do not decrease for longer stays, and we often miss the opportunity to prepare meals ourselves… An alternative to hotel accommodation is short-term apartment rental – Warsaw is a city where there is no shortage of this type of offer.

How does the short-term rental market work? What should you expect from the accommodation?

An apartment for a few days, weeks, and sometimes longer…

While with traditional long-term rental we are required to rent an apartment for a longer period—at least a year or several years—in the case of short-term rental, we can use the rented apartment for a few days or weeks. This is an excellent alternative to a hotel stay, especially since in most cases the nightly rate decreases with each additional day of the rental. A good price is not the only argument in favor of short-term apartment rentals. What are the others?

The location certainly deserves attention… While hotels are usually located in the very center of the city or on its outskirts, apartments intended for short-term rental can be found in many locations throughout the city. In Warsaw, even in the Old Town. This gives us the opportunity to choose accommodation suited to the purpose of our visit and, as a result, reduces the time we spend commuting. A convenient location also means peace and quiet, especially after dark—something difficult to find in the city’s touristically attractive areas.

An apartment for a few days also very often provides access to basic household appliances that are not always available in a hotel—a television, refrigerator, microwave, washing machine or washer-dryer, and iron. Thanks to all these appliances, we can feel at home in the apartment while also reducing the amount of luggage we need to bring.

When can we use a short-term rental offer?

A short-term rental offer is intended for anyone planning to stay in a given city—regardless of whether we are traveling for business or pleasure, whether we have friends in the city or do not know anyone there at all. Short-term rental gives us the freedom to feel at home and make our own decisions about every aspect of our stay in the city, without having to adapt to the meal times served at the hotel or the restrictions involved in inviting guests.
