– Police officers from the Nowogrodziec police station detained a man who put a lit flare under the windshield wiper of someone else’s vehicle. The 66-year-old from Osiecznica municipality threatened his neighbors with destroying their vehicles, beating them and taking their lives – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. – During a search of the suspect’s apartment, officers found various dangerous objects whose possession is prohibited by law.
Residents of nearby premises were evacuated, while police bomb-disposal experts from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław secured the weapons, ammunition and grenades.
The suspect was charged with a total of four offenses. The spokeswoman said: – Investigators agreed that the 66-year-old had to be isolated because his behavior could have endangered many people.
At the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered the 66-year-old’s temporary detention for three months. The aggressor faces up to eight years in prison.
