A week spent on the water with friends from Germany and the Czech Republic was intended to integrate the region’s residents and improve their sailing skills. The athletes were able to sail on a challenging body of water, where there was no shortage of wind from the first day. The training hours were intended to prepare the athletes for the regatta, which took place on Saturday, 21 August.

Athletes from Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland appeared at the starting line. On the day of the regatta, the wind reached speeds of up to 4 m/s, which made it possible to hold only three races. In the Optimist class, Jakub Stański was the best among the Pirat sailors, winning all the races. Karol Zając came second; he started from the last position but made up the deficit and finished the second race in fifth place. Jarema Kaźmierski took third place. Adam Kędzierski completed his first start and ultimately took fifth place.

In the Laser class, the final classification also belonged to Pirat:

  1. place – Jan Tesarowicz
  2. place – Maximilian Sitek
  3. place – Jakub Pasieka

The coach in charge of the Laser class is Dawid Poznański, who was a competitor of KS Turów Zgorzelec. The Optimist class is coached by Jakub Jakubowski.

Congratulations to the athletes on their results, and we look forward to their next starts.
