During the August session of the Bolesławiec City Council, President Piotr Roman summed up the BCF:
The 27th Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival has come to an end. We approached the organisation of this festival with great concern, knowing that many cities, even here in the surrounding area, had given up organising their own festivals: Lwówek Śląski did not organise the Agate Summer Festival, and Zgorzelec will not organise Jakuby.
He added:
After consulting with the ceramic artists, we decided that a decision had to be made. And it was a bull’s-eye. When I speak with ceramic artists and manufacturers, they say it was an excellent weekend—one of the best in history, if not the best. A symbolic image was the stall of one of the largest ceramic factories, where a note appeared on Sunday afternoon: “We have sold everything, thank you, see you next year.”
What do you think? How did you like this year’s Ceramic Festival? We invite you to join the discussion.
