On Saturday (13 February), TOP's volleyball players hosted Ikar Legnica. After two defeats (against Kamienna Góra and Jelenia Góra), our players wanted to end the unfavorable streak. The first set began promisingly. TOP built a two-point lead. Unfortunately, the Bolesławiec players' game broke down at 7:6 for the visitors. The Legnica team gained a five-point lead, but squandered it by making serving and attacking errors. Thanks to the visitors' mistakes, TOP managed to level the score (17:17, 20:20, 22:22). Unfortunately, the end of the set belonged to Ikar, who won 25:23.
The beginning of the second set saw the visitors take the lead. At 1:4, the Bolesławiec coach, Bogusław Mienculewicz, called a timeout. After the break, TOP managed to equalize (5:5), but the remainder of the second set clearly belonged to the Legnica team. The visitors relentlessly hammered our block. In addition, TOP made mistake after mistake (missed serves and poor setting). Ikar's lead was five, and at times even six points. Our players lost the second set 18:25. At the beginning of the third set, the Bolesławiec team took a 5:1 lead. Unfortunately, the visitors managed to equalize. The Legnica team then led by several points until the very end of the set, winning it 25:21.
TOP Bolesławiec lost to Ikar Legnica 0:3 (23:25, 18:25, 21:25). Our team is in 6th place in the Lower Silesian fourth-division standings. Next Saturday (20 February), the Bolesławiec team will host KKS Ren-But II Złotoryja. The match will be played in the sports hall at I LO. It is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
