After the highly successful exhibition of works by participants in cross-border art workshops in Bolesławiec, the exhibition was presented to German audiences at the castle in Krobnitz.

Participants in four Bolesławiec art studios—two at the Youth Cultural Centre and two at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre—worked on the theme: yesterday, today and tomorrow in Lower Silesia. The result was an interesting and highly diverse exhibition of works in a variety of techniques, presented in Bolesławiec and at the castle in Krobnitz.

Anja Köhler from Schlesisch-Oberlausitzer Museumsverbund explained how the idea that shaped this project came about. It was inspired by a 2019 exhibition entitled Upper Lusatia in 2060: who we were, who we are, who we will be. The initiators asked the residents of Upper Lusatia an existential question: where would they be in 2060? The idea for this project was very well received in Bolesławiec by BOK – MCC, and it was decided to continue it by asking how the region’s residents would see themselves in 2060.

The result was an interesting and highly diverse exhibition, both thematically and in terms of the techniques used: batik, photography, ceramics, drawing, painting, collages, reliefs, sculptures and graphic art. The opening in Krobnitz attracted considerable interest.
