The President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda conferred the Medal of the Centenary of Regained Independence; by decision of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the honorees were also presented with the commemorative badge “Medal marking the 100th Anniversary of Regaining Independence.
The decorations, on behalf of the President and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, were presented by Lower Silesian Voivode Jarosław Obremski, accompanied by Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman. Pursuant to Article 138 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland of April 2, 1997, and the Act of June 15, 2018, on establishing the Medal of the Centenary of Regained Independence (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 865), for services to Independent Poland, the following were decorated: Anna Borek (the medal was received on her behalf by her son), Krzysztof Broszko, Zdzisław Chalewicz (the medal was received on his behalf by his daughter), Bogumił Chodała, Wanda Draj, Antonia Zenona Dutkowska, Stanisław Piotr Filipek, Grzegorz Gach, Ignacy Goryczka, Dariusz Górecki, Janusz Jędzierowski, Grzegorz Klementowski, late Mirosław Kochanowski (the medal was received on his behalf by his wife, Krystyna Kochanowska), Eugeniusz Kowalski, Helena Kozdra, Franciszek Kozdra, Adam Krajewski, Wiesław Ogrodnik, Mariusz Andrzej Olczak, Józef Pokładek, Ryszard Ratajczak, Bogdan Szczepan Razik (the medal was received on his behalf by his daughter-in-law, Kornelia Kaszuba-Razik), Irena Razik, Jacek Bernard Skruńdź, Mieczysław Józef Szczurek (the medal was received on his behalf by his son, Maciej Szczurek), Wojciech Szewczuk (the medal was received on his behalf by his wife, Beata Czarnecka-Szewczuk), Arkadiusz Adam Urban, Jan Filipek, Zbigniew Zdzisław Razik.
By resolution no. XXIV/286/2020 of November 25, 2020, the Bolesławiec City Council conferred on Janina Urszula Piestrak-Babijczuk the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Bolesławiec.
Janina Urszula Piestrak-Babijczuk received the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Bolesławiec in recognition of her outstanding merits, worthy of the highest respect and gratitude, for the residents of Bolesławiec and for the city’s development through professional, social and charitable activity, strengthening the urban community and supporting humanitarian social initiatives. The honorary title was presented to Janina Urszula Piestrak-Babijczuk by Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman and City Council Chair Józef Pokładek.
Following the Bolesławiec City Council’s adoption of resolutions conferring the titles “Meritorious for the City of Bolesławiec,” the following people were honored during the ceremonial session: Władysława Kotlarek, Eugenia Wolska, Jarosław Kowalski, Jan Hałubiec, Artur Andrzej Nahorecki, Ewa Ditrich, Anna Dagmara Klementowska-Kusber, Barbara Zofia Kozomaricz, Iwona Violetta Nowicka, Maria Sobolska, Paweł Zwierz, Zdzisław Mirecki.
The next part of the ceremony included the presentation of honorary badges for “Merit in Health Protection.” The Minister of Health awarded honorary badges for “Merit in Health Protection” to employees of SP ZOZ in Bolesławiec. The prestigious distinctions were presented by the voivode and county head Tomasz Gabrysiak; the recipients were: Kamil Barczyk, Artur Nahorecki, Justyna Straszak-Trzeciak, Aleksandra Kopczyńska, Helena Szwaj-Moreno, Łukasz Bilaszewski, Urszula Materna-Milewska, Daria Sadczuk, Katarzyna Mikee-Dziekan, Barbara Kozomaricz, Grażyna Jakimczyk, Ewa Gadzińska, Krystyna Wójtowicz, Monika Fiedorczuk, Danuta Sarysz, Agata Szocińska, Ewa Ditrich, Dorota Staniszewska, Iwona Nowicka, Anna Klementowska-Kusber, Irena Wojdyła, Magdalena Tomaszewska.
