The Municipal Public Library – Centrum Wiedzy in Bolesławiec is presenting an outdoor exhibition of photographs by Paweł Łączny, “Heroines.” Among the photographs on display is the famous portrait of a nurse from Bolesławiec.
Let us recall. In May, we reported that the results of this year’s Grand Press Photo competition were known. Fifty-seven photographers competed for awards for photographs, reportage and documentary projects. In the portrait category, the winning photograph was taken by Wrocław-based freelancer Paweł Łączny. Here is its official description:
Anna Gadzińska, a nurse at the Bolesławiec Health Care Complex, Anna Gadzińska works in a neurology ward converted into a COVID ward. The portrait of the nurse, showing marks left by goggles and a face shield, was taken just after she left the so-called “dirty zone.”
The exhibition can be viewed until September 10.
