The incident occurred on Sunday, August 15. At around 4:00 p.m., emergency services received a report of a drowning victim in the Bóbr River near the village of Kraszowice. Officers went to the scene.
What did they find? There was no drowning victim. Three people taking part in a kayaking trip abandoned the activity because of the very strong current. They were unharmed. However, the abandoned kayak alarmed the person who reported it, who considered the worst-case scenario and alerted the emergency services.
