The incident occurred on August 12 on Lubańska Street in Jelenia Góra. “Preliminary findings indicate that the 19-year-old driver of a Peugeot most likely failed to yield while exiting a subordinate road to the 25-year-old motorcyclist traveling along Lubańska Street, resulting in a collision,” reports Assistant Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. “Despite resuscitation efforts, the motorcyclist died at the scene. The body was secured for an autopsy. The driver of the passenger vehicle was sober.”

The prosecutor’s office and police are investigating the case. The latter appeal for particular caution:

The motorcycle season is in full swing. Motorcycle enthusiasts have appeared on many roads across Poland.

As always, we appeal to all drivers to exercise caution and observe the regulations. Every road user must bear their own safety and the safety of others in mind.
