Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
The result? Officers established that the fake prescription was issued for the same medicine by the same doctor. What is more, they proved to the detainee that he had also forged the previous five prescriptions.
The spokesperson said: – The 38-year-old Russian citizen admitted that he had forged the prescriptions because the medicine is unavailable in Germany, while medical services in Poland are very expensive. Using the altered prescriptions, the detainee bought the drops in April and four times in May. The suspect used an original prescription, covering part of the information with correction fluid and writing something else in its place.
The Russian man now faces a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.
