Who is the ideal candidate for service in the Police?

Someone who:

  • has at least a secondary education;
  • has the physical and mental capacity to serve in armed formations subject to special service discipline, to which they are prepared to submit;
  • provides a guarantee of maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the requirements set out in regulations on the protection of classified information;
  • has a regulated relationship with military service—in the case of persons subject to military qualification. A police officer’s service relationship is established by appointment based on voluntary application for service. Appointment may take place after completion of basic military service or transfer to the reserve. This means that a person declared unfit for active military service in peacetime (category “D”) who is also a reserve soldier meets these requirements. Therefore, health category “D” does not disqualify a candidate applying to join the Police;
  • has Polish citizenship. (Holding dual citizenship does not disqualify a candidate during the recruitment process);
  • has an impeccable reputation;
  • has not been convicted by a final court judgment of a criminal offense or a tax offense;
  • enjoys full public rights.
