The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 27, at around 7:30 a.m., near the Manhattan market in Bolesławiec. The driver of a Volkswagen, a 47-year-old woman from Bolesławiec, fatally struck a 61-year-old resident of the City of Ceramics—and on a pedestrian crossing.
Despite resuscitation attempts, the woman who was struck died at the scene.
The police and prosecutor’s office are determining the circumstances and causes of the tragedy.
