Bolesławiec police officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, as a result of a series of actions related to the misappropriation of a phone worth PLN 1,000, identified the perpetrator of the crime. “The mobile phone fell from the victim’s possession in a supermarket parking lot; when she realized what had happened and returned for her property, it was no longer there,” reports Senior Sergeant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters.
What happened to the phone? Spokesperson:
The 25-year-old spotted the phone while heading out to shop and took it. The Bolesławiec resident tried to start the item obtained through the crime, but was unsuccessful, so he sold it.
The police officer handling the investigation established the identity of the suspect in the phone misappropriation case and recovered the property. The 25-year-old was detained and confessed to the crime. He now faces up to three years in prison.
