On Saturday (January 30), friends, sponsors and supporters of BKS Bobrzanie attended the 12th Football Herring. Guests at the football ball were welcomed by BKS President Jan Woch and board members: Piotr Bieńkowski and Jacek Szymczak. Women received roses, while men were given plaques commemorating this year’s event.
The Football Herring is an expression of thanks to everyone who helps BKS operate on a daily basis. This year’s main distinction, the “Golden Ball,” went to Grzegorz Menet, General Director of Bader Polska sp. z o.o. in Bolesławiec. The award in the 1% category (of donated tax) went to Elżbieta i Mirosław Koziołowie. The award for the sponsor debut of the year went to Mieczysław Żuraw. Traditional thanks for helping the club were presented to Gminie Miejskiej Bolesławiec and Starostwu Powiatowemu w Bolesławcu.
The following also received thanks for their assistance to the club: MZGK, Bertman, BZM Cieśla, Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec, STW, MZK, Terma-Kork, Firma Transportowa Mirosław Seneszył and Drukarnia AFG. The Regional Employers’ Association in Bolesławiec was thanked for its loyal attendance at the Football Herring.
Sports memorabilia auctions were held during the football ball. The money raised will be allocated to the statutory purposes of BKS Bobrzanie. Ball guests could also try an impressive cake shaped like a football stadium. The cake was prepared by Cukiernia Stanisława Brzozowskiego.
