Below we present the winter-holiday offer from cultural and sports centres in our county.
Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury
- Music video workshop “See The Sound” for young people, led by Marek Straszak. The workshop programme includes: combining image and sound, synchronising sight and hearing, visualising music, music videos, video art
dates: 01.02-07.02, hours 10:00-16:00 - Dmuchawce workshop, or the art of creative flying – for young people aged 13 to 18. Leaders: Ola z Lasu and Marianna Kotuniak. These classes will allow young people to experience many forms of art: from dance, theatre and making decorations and masks to filming, photography and poster design. In a short time, you will be able to feel the intensity of your unlimited creative activity, improvise, and learn to document your work and present it to an audience. The classes will show how easily a performance or happening can be created. Workshop participants will dance, create theatre études and make a film documenting preparations for the performance. – The classes will end with a show for all the lucky people you invite to see the final result of the workshops – say the organisers

Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury – MCC
- “Ink Blots”: 8–9 February, 10:00–12:00 (children) and 12:00–14:00 (young people). Participants will have the opportunity to create an abstract composition from ink blots on drawing board. The aim is to develop creativity and artistic and manual skills
- Carnival mask-making workshop with a Valentine’s theme: 10–11 February, 10:00–12:00. The workshops are intended for children aged 6–10. Children will learn techniques for making carnival masks. The masks made during the classes will be used at the Valentine’s Ball on 14 February. The classes will be led by instructors: Katarzyna Klepaczek, Dorota Dziedzic-Lechowska

- Valentine’s party for children: 14 February, 11:00–14:00. A party for all participants in the winter-holiday workshops. Children will have the opportunity to take part in, among other things, a meeting with a clown, the “My Valentine” competition, breaking a bag of sweets, assembling puzzles and Valentine’s charades

- Elf Puppet Theatre’s production “THE ENCHANTED PRINCESS”: 12 February, 12:00. The fairy tale tells of a princess who did not want to marry and rejected all suitors by giving them impossible tasks. At one point, a wizard prince decides to seek the princess’s hand, and then it turns out that the princess is also a sorceress...
- Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard: 5–10 February, the extraordinarily imaginative and rich world of the Minimoys has become even more visually attractive thanks to new technologies and the dedication of the film crew. Plenty of new characters and eccentric heroes, along with a highly dynamic sequence of events, will provide great entertainment for the whole family
Attention: art competition!
Draw a character from the film “Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard” using any technique and bring it on 6 or 7 February – before the 12:15 or 17:00 screening – to the Forum Cinema box office. The competition results and prize-giving will take place immediately after the above-mentioned screenings. We invite you; attractive prizes await the winners.

Classes will take place from 1 to 14 February in community centres in Osiecznica, Osieczów, Parowa, Przejęsław, Ławszowa, Świętoszów and Ołobok. The programme includes, among other things, board games, table tennis, billiards, video games, puzzles, table football, as well as art and technical workshops, a trip to the cinema in Bolesławiec to see “G-Force”, a competition for the most beautiful Valentine’s card and baking waffles together.
