Saturday’s incident (on July 17), which had nothing to do with sporting competition, occurred in Lubomierz, where local team Stella hosted Czarni Lwówek Śląski. It was a practice match (friendly). Unfortunately, it could not be played to the end. Toward the end of the match, tensions and pushing broke out between players from both teams.
As we read on the lwowecki.info website:
The entire incident unfolded five minutes before the end of the match. According to police, “pushing” occurred between players from the opposing teams. It began when a Czarni player kicked a footballer playing for Stella. The latter did not leave the Lwówek Śląski opponent’s act unanswered, turning around and hitting him in the face, splitting his eyebrow.
The Stella player who hit the footballer from Lwówek plays for Chmielanka Chmieleń on a regular basis and had been loaned to the Lubomierz team. The referee stopped the match while the team from Lwówek was leading. Police arrived on the pitch, recorded the incident and informed those involved of the possibility of pursuing their rights in civil proceedings. As lwowecki.info reports, the player from Chmieleń will not play for Stella Lubomierz again. The Lubomierz club made that decision.
