The Bolesławiec School Complex of Electronics and the 1st General Secondary School in Bolesławiec have come under the patronage of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. On Tuesday, 29 June, at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec, the relevant agreement was signed by the Starost of Bolesławiec County, Tomasz Gabrysiak, and Prof. Dr. Eng. Waldemar Rebizant – Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Short speeches followed the signing of the agreement. The first to speak was Starost Tomasz Gabrysiak, who briefly explained what cooperation between the district schools and the Wrocław university would involve.

The starost stressed that the cooperation would make it easier for young people to choose a future profession and possibly undertake studies in technical fields that would later provide them with attractive employment.

After the starost, Prof. Waldemar Rebizant spoke. Among other things, he explained the structure of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, what faculties it has and which degree programmes are available.

The ceremony concluded with a lecture on electric cars. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Eng. Maciej Gwoździewicz, a lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and at the university’s Legnica branch.
