The Chrobry team worked hard to earn the coveted promotion to the regional league. Over the past year, Krzysztof Kownacki’s team won match after match and proved that its performances fully deserved a place in a higher-level competition.
In the 2020/2021 season, the team from Nowogrodziec suffered just one defeat, losing 1–3 to Górnik Węgliniec. The battle for promotion between the two teams was fierce, but ultimately Chrobry proved the better side and finished the campaign in first place, three points ahead of second-placed Górnik.
Chrobry Nowogrodziec coach Krzysztof Kownacki:
A very successful season. 27 matches, 26 wins, the most points earned of all the Class A groups, and the fewest goals conceded. This shows that the direction we chose a year and a half ago was the right one. Now it is time to rest and recharge our batteries so that we can finish as high as possible in the regional league. I would also like to thank the players and everyone who helped us throughout this period.
Chrobry Nowogrodziec ended Sunday’s match, which concluded the III group Class A competition, with a 4–1 home win over Sparta Zebrzydowa and secured promotion to the regional league.
In the coming season, fans in Nowogrodziec will be able to watch their team face such sides as BKS Bolesławiec, Victoria Jelenia Góra, Nysa Zgorzelec, Twardy Świętoszów, Piast Wykroty and Czarni Lwówek Śląski.
