On June 11, one of our readers sent us a message about an overgrown green area and 1.5-meter-high grass near the Dino store on Starzyńskiego Street in Bolesławiec. We published the information under the title Thickets Are Scaring People Again on Starzyńskiego Street. The information prompted many people to share their opinions about unmown grass. We are publishing several comments from readers:

A beautiful wildflower meadow—a paradise for bees and bumblebees, as well as a natural dust filter. What is wrong with these people? The best thing for these complainers would be to concrete over the whole world!

What thickets!!! Maybe they should concrete over the whole city... they are destroying all the nice areas

Better than concrete, what is it about a meadow that bothers you????? Have you gone crazy???? Maybe you want a concrete parking lot ?????

The whole city is overgrown up to your waist, as if we lived in a pasture...

What is grass mowing like in Wrocław?

As can be seen, the subject is controversial. However, leaving grass unmown wherever possible—for example, where it does not obstruct drivers’ visibility—is becoming increasingly popular. As one of our readers informs us, information boards have appeared in Wrocław near some unmown green areas.

The board informs people about the benefits of tall grass in the city. In the capital of Lower Silesia, there are many places where the grass is not mowed, and it is precisely there that boards like the one below are being installed. What do you think of the idea of these boards?
