Although the opening of the renovated PKP railway station building in Bolesławiec was announced for the end of June, it is already known that this will not happen. The reason is the case of a tenant who lived in the building.

The current completion date for the investment is the end of October. Most of the structural work has already been completed; finishing and installation work is currently underway on all levels, including the attic and roof.

The first floor—as we have already reported—will be leased by the District Court in Jelenia Góra. The ground floor will certainly not surprise passengers, as its finish will refer to the original one from the early 20th century. Nevertheless, this floor will definitely be modernized. Multisensory boards for blind people and large displays showing train arrival and departure times will be installed, and—as will surely please many—the public-address system will also be upgraded.

For two-wheel enthusiasts, the great news will surely be that a bicycle storage facility will be built… in place of the historic public toilet.

We will certainly return to this topic.
