From February 1 to 14, there will be plenty happening at the Youth Cultural Center in Bolesławiec. Folk Ferie will begin with a meeting with ethnologist Elżbieta Gawlik-Jakubiak. The topic of the meeting, which will take place on February 1 at 6:00 p.m. in the MDK auditorium, is “How It All Began, or Where Folklore Comes From.” The ethnologist will talk about primitive peoples and their customs.
The MDK program will include:
- The “See The Sound” music video workshop for young people, led by Marek Straszak. The workshop program includes working on combining image and sound, synchronizing sight and hearing, visualizing music, music videos, and video art
dates: 01.02–07.02, hours: 10:00–16:00 - Dmuchawce workshops, or the art of creative flying – for young people aged 13 to 18. Led by: Ola z Lasu and Marianna Kotuniak. These classes for young people will offer the opportunity to experience many forms of art: from dance, theater, and making decorations and masks to filmmaking, photography, and poster design. In a short time, you will be able to feel the intensity of your unlimited creative activity, improvise, and learn to document your work and present it to an audience. The classes will show how easily a performance or happening can be created. Workshop participants will dance, create theatrical études, and make a film documenting the preparations for the performance. – “The classes will end with a show for all the lucky people you invite to see the final result of the workshops,” say the organizers
