A reader called our editorial office and told us that a multi-storey tower block is to be built on Leśna Street, in a building formerly used as a hatchery. In his view, this means several dozen new apartments and, consequently, several dozen new cars and terrible congestion in a place that until now had been a wonderful haven of peace.

Informant:

The city sold plots of land to people for the construction of single-family homes, and now a tower block will rise in front of their windows. It is simply unbelievable! We will lose our privacy.

The reader added that nearby residents do not rule out protests over the matter.

We asked the Bolesławiec municipal authorities about the matter. Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall:

A procedure initiated by Resolution No. XIX/201/2020 of the Bolesławiec City Council dated 20 May 2020, concerning the preparation of a local spatial development plan for the area located on Leśna Street in Bolesławiec, is currently underway.
