On Friday, an accident occurred in the Nowogrodziec area, a 5-year-old boy ran into the path of an approaching car. The child, among other injuries suffering an arm injury, was taken to a hospital in Legnica.
On Saturday and Sunday, the traffic police conducted the “Sober Morning” campaign. Between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m., officers checked the sobriety of 163 drivers. Only one had consumed alcohol; the 33-year-old had 0.3 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
Also on Saturday, police officers from Nowogrodziec arrested a wanted 34-year-old man who has to serve a four-month prison sentence.
On Sunday, Bolesławiec community police officers arrested a 49-year-old man who had violated a court order prohibiting him from approaching members of his family and who, with more than 3 per mille of alcohol in his system, had started an altercation.
That same day, a patrol unit arrested a 43-year-old resident of the Masovian Voivodeship who was wanted by courts in Pruszków and Piaseczno. He has nearly two years of imprisonment to serve.
