Crime investigators from Bolesławiec have identified a person suspected of stealing a pick-up worth PLN 20,000. The crime took place on June 5 in Bolesławiec municipality. Officers:
The 28-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality was arrested on a dirt road in his car. The man had various items from the stolen pick-up in his possession, including a backpack with tools and the victim’s bank card wallet.
Officers found the stolen vehicle in a nearby forest. The already removed engine cover was lying nearby.
Moreover, it emerged that the detainee had at least three other crimes on his record, committed in our county. These involved two vehicle break-ins and the theft of a catalytic converter from a lorry. (The vehicles mentioned were also found and returned to their owners.)
The 28-year-old from Nowogrodziec municipality had previously been convicted of drug-related and property offenses. He now faces one to ten years in prison.
