The incident occurred in the evening on one of the streets of Złotoryja. “A passenger-car driver noticed the disturbing behavior of another driver. The Renault travelling ahead of him was moving across the entire width of the road. It was not keeping to the right-hand side. It drove in the middle, and even in the left lane, cutting off other vehicles. Through his behavior, he repeatedly endangered other road users,” reports Sergeant Dominika Kwakszys, press officer for KPP in Złotoryja. “Concerned about the situation, the man called the emergency number 112. At the same time, he asked his 9-year-old son to record the incident on a mobile phone.”
The police officers who arrived at the scene stopped the indicated vehicle for a roadside check. Spokesperson:
As soon as they opened the driver’s door, they detected a strong smell of alcohol. A breathalyzer test of the 43-year-old showed nearly 4‰!
The officers prevented the man from continuing his journey. He was arrested. He could face up to two years in prison.
