Officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters stopped a driver who, with nearly 2 promille of alcohol in his system, was speeding at 118 km/h in a built-up area. KPP:
After the vehicle was stopped for inspection, the driver explained that he was rushing to a pharmacy for diabetes medication. The police called an ambulance to the scene, but it turned out that the man did not require medical attention.
But that was not the end of it. The 45-year-old had not only significantly exceeded the speed limit, but was also completely drunk; he had nearly 2 promille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
He could now face up to two years behind bars.
