Councillors adopted the resolution after reviewing the submitted “Report on the State of the City of Bolesławiec” for 2020 and holding a debate. City Hall officials:
The report contains annual data from individual areas of the city’s operations, thereby reflecting the activities of the local government and the development of Bolesławiec during this particular year.
“The epidemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which developed into a pandemic, cast a shadow over the functioning of all areas of the city. The fight for the lives and health of those suffering from COVID-19 became dominant over all other activities from the turn of February and March. Most Bolesławiec residents demonstrated great solidarity, which carried particular significance in the year marking the 40th anniversary of the founding of NSZZ ‘Solidarity.’ A monument erected in the park by Wolności Square became the material symbol of these celebrations. A mural on the wall of BOK-MCC depicting an angel is a sign of gratitude to medics and those working in healthcare,” President Piotr Roman informs in the introduction.
The City Hall adds:
The Regional Chamber of Audit issued a positive opinion on the report on the execution of the 2020 budget submitted by the president. The opinion of the Audit Committee is also positive.
