A 29-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra was detained by police officers on May 22, immediately after setting fire to rubbish and plastics in the basement of one of the apartment buildings in Jelenia Góra. – At the time of the incident, 10 people, including two children, were in the smoke-filled building – reports junior aspirant Przemysław Ratajczyk of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – Fortunately, before firefighting operations began, the residents left their apartments on their own, and no one was injured.
