– Officers from the Wrocław Grabiszynek Police Station received a report of an attack with a dangerous tool on a man who now requires urgent medical attention – reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
The officers immediately went to the scene, where they found a witness to the incident and the injured man. Together with bystanders, the police provided first aid to the victim lying on the pavement and monitored his vital signs until he was taken over first by firefighters and then by a medical rescue team.

Once the man was placed under professional care, the officers gathered information from the witness about the circumstances of the incident, the attacker’s appearance and the vehicle he was travelling in. The entire incident was reportedly caused by a misunderstanding on the road, which makes the attacker’s behaviour all the more surprising and shocking.
The officers located the vehicle belonging to the wanted man. They also went to his home, but neighbours said that the suspect had left several minutes before the patrol arrived.
The 42-year-old was nevertheless arrested. He admitted to the attack. He explained that he had left the screwdriver in his flat.
The injured man, who had sustained serious injuries, was taken to hospital. The perpetrator was remanded in custody for three months. Police:
Since the findings and the collected evidence indicate that the man probably acted with the direct intention of taking the 33-year-old’s life, he could spend many years behind bars.
