A district officer from Osiecznica and a patrol officer from Nowogrodziec arrested, after a pursuit, a driver whose driving licence has been revoked since 2015 and who has been subject to a lifetime driving ban since 2016. KPP:
The officers noticed a man at the wheel whom they knew was not allowed to drive a car. When they attempted to stop the vehicle for an inspection, the driver accelerated significantly, ignoring the light and sound signals given by the officers.
As he fled along roads in the Osiecznica and Nowogrodziec municipalities, the 40-year-old committed various offences. What is more, he resisted the officers during his arrest.
Police:
The resident of Osiecznica municipality hoped to avoid responsibility for the offence he had committed because, by getting behind the wheel, he violated a court-imposed lifetime driving ban. By failing to stop for an inspection, he committed another offence.
The 40-year-old could now face between three months and as much as five years in prison.
