A18 closed because of dangerous Soviet unexploded ordnance. Projectile detonated

As reported on the Facebook profile of the Bolesławiec Bomb Disposal Patrol, unexploded ordnance was found near the reconstructed A18 motorway:

Today (Thursday, 20 May 2021), from 9:00 a.m., the road is scheduled to be closed in both directions on the Golnice (exit to Bolesławiec) – Luboszów (exit to Świętoszów) section!

The bomb disposal specialists have completed their work; A18 has been reopened.

Bolesławiec bomb disposal specialists dealt with the dangerous find, a Soviet unexploded projectile from the Second World War. The damaged projectile was detonated at the training ground in Świętoszów.
