KPP:
The duty officer at the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters received a report of a suicide attempt. A teenage girl called the emergency number, reporting that she had received a text message from her 12-year-old friend saying that she wanted to commit suicide, along with a photo showing wounds on her arm.
When police officers went to the 12-year-old’s home, she explained that she had not intended to commit suicide. However, due to the girl’s condition, the officers called an emergency medical team, which took the minor to a specialist hospital.
Police:
The reporting girl demonstrated great responsibility and sound judgment by notifying the authorities of the existing danger.
We remind readers that we have been reporting on suicides in Bolesławiec County for a long time. Data collected by Franciszek Małecki-Trzaskoś show that in 2020 more people died by suicide in Bolesławiec County than on county roads. The numbers are rising, and local governments are doing nothing about it. Below is an interview from February 2021 on the subject.
