During a funeral ceremony at a cemetery in Lubań, unexploded ordnance was spotted. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Patrol from the 23rd Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec was notified. The unexploded ordnance was located in a pile of soil that was to be used to fill the grave.

The unexploded ordnance was uncovered while the grave was being filled. The funeral ceremony was interrupted. Another funeral ceremony taking place several dozen metres away was also interrupted.

Cemetery workers and other people were evacuated. The bomb disposal experts checked the grave and its surroundings for other unexploded ordnance. The item found was an M-13 rocket projectile, 132 mm in calibre, for a Soviet Katyusha rocket launcher. The unexploded ordnance was removed and will be detonated at a training ground.
