The incident occurred during the night of 7–8 May on the A18. After 3 a.m., the driver of a Volkswagen Tiguan, a 52-year-old man from the Lublin region, veered onto the shoulder and hit an embankment. As a result, the car’s passenger, a 39-year-old man from Silesia, was injured. The latter was taken to hospital with a fractured collarbone.
According to the officers’ preliminary findings, driver fatigue was the cause of the accident.
