The incident occurred on Thursday, May 6, before 6:00 a.m., on national road No. 18, 300 metres after the exit to Świętoszów. The driver of a Mercedes Sprinter, a 35-year-old resident of Limanowa County, was overtaking a truck with a trailer driven by a 23-year-old Belarusian.
While overtaking, a tyre on the Mercedes burst. The vehicle moved into the right-hand lane and hit the side of the trailer.
As a result of the collision, the 20-year-old passenger of the Sprinter, a resident of Limanowa County, was injured. He was taken to hospital with a leg injury.
