On May 1, in the afternoon, Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a 46-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County who lost control of his vehicle and ended up in a roadside ditch. His breath alcohol test showed 1.8 per mille.

That same day, in the evening, a 44-year-old man from Warta Bolesławiecka Commune was stopped. The driver was under the influence of alcohol, with a reading of 0.3 per mille. Meanwhile, after 9:00 p.m., district police officers stopped a 29-year-old man from Bolesławiec. The man, who had three active court-imposed driving bans, was driving with 1.7 per mille of alcohol in his breath.

In turn, on May 3, at night, patrols in two locations in Bolesławiec—and at the same time!—stopped intoxicated drivers. In the city center, a 39-year-old was driving a car with 1.4 per mille of alcohol, while on Cieszkowskiego Street, a 36-year-old resident of Mazowieckie Voivodeship was driving with 1.5 per mille. In the evening, officers also caught a 40-year-old resident of our county, whose test showed more than 0.5 per mille of alcohol in his breath.

Let us remind you. Breaking a court-imposed ban is punishable by three months to five years in prison, while driving while intoxicated carries a sentence of up to two years in prison, financial penalties and loss of one’s driving licence. Driving after consuming alcohol, meanwhile, is punishable by a fine or arrest and loss of one’s driving licence for up to three years.
