On 23 April 2021, the forest district manager approved a decision launching two areas designated for the implementation of the “Spend the Night in the Forest” programme. The total area of the sites is nearly 1,650 hectares.

The first area, called “Leśniczówki”, is located in the northern part of the forest district, within the Kliczków forest unit. It partially includes the “Jeziory” and “Głuszec” forest districts. Two Fire-Use Sites have also been designated in this area, located next to bodies of water.

This area is recommended more for experienced hikers than for beginners in forest camping. The area is characterised by considerable diversity in both its terrain and vegetation. There are small elevations, hollows, remnants of old settlements, small marshes and ponds. In addition, numerous stands of trees at various stages of maturity make this an interesting area that will surely remain memorable. To begin your adventure in this area, you should reach Ławszowa and leave your vehicle in the square near the office of the Jeziory forest district.

The second designated area is “Pojezierze Osieczowskie”. The area takes its name from five artificial bodies of water built by the forest district between 1998 and 2014. It is located entirely within the Osieczów forest district, in the Bolesławiec forest unit.

Unlike “Leśniczówki”, this area is recommended for people who would like to begin their adventure with spending nights in the forest. The terrain is less varied, there are more places around the area from which to set out, and the less diverse tree stands will help everyone find a suitable camping location. One Fire-Use Site has been designated in the area—“Dzicza polana”. This charming place, located between two ponds, will soon have a special fire-lighting area prepared.
